Welcome to the website of Stichting Spelgroep Phoenix (Phoenix game foundation).
The objective of the foundation is to promote tabletop games (e.g., board games, card games, role-playing games). The group was founded on May 22nd, 2004. We play games, promote games, exchange information on games and we give game demonstrations for companies, schools and shops. The foundation has also made several official Dutch rules translations for Ravensburger, Alea, Quined/White Goblin and Z-Man Games.

All dates of activities can be found in the agenda
Anyone can participate in our evnets. Costs per evening is 1,50 Euro per person, a full day event costs 2,= Euro. Coffee/tea and sfot drinks are available at reasonable prices.
Though our site is in Dutch, you might be surprised to learn that the language spoken at the gaming tables is often English or German. In fact most of our games are in English or German. Several expats or people from abroad who now live in The Netherlands permanently, found their way to our game group.
Another surprise might be that some of the people who are active on our website live in England, Norway, Belgium and several other exotic places that are way beyond the Leiden area. So don't be afraid to post an item on our website if your native language is not Dutch. You will get an answer, though it might be in Swahili
. Anyway, feel free to join in on any discussion if you can read Dutch, but are not able to write in Dutch and start a discussion in any language you like and we will figure out a way to answer you.
